Dr. Silvers is a Los Angeles native. He earned his bachelor’s degree from UCLA in 1975. He received his medical training and degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1979. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. For the state of California Industrial Medical Council, he acts as a Qualified Medical Evaluator.
He has specialized in sports medicine and foot surgery. As a Clinical Assistant Professor of the California College of Podiatric Medicine, he has been an Instructor at the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center. He was a Physician Specialist on the Track and Field Medical Teams for the 1984 Olympic Games and 1985 World Games for the Deaf.
Dr. Silvers has been an early adopter of various technologically advanced diagnostic and treatment modalities such as diagnostic ultrasound, digital x-rays, extracorporeal shockwave therapy, radiofrequency lesioning, and the PinPointe Laser.
